What a nice change from our usual big hotel experience! We travel quite a bit and I was initially reluctant, having become accustomed to room service and other hotel amenities, but am so glad we gave The Driftwood a try! Our room had been recently renovated–very tastefully done–definitely South Florida! The property was built ages ago, but it is well maintained. The staff is very friendly– the housekeepers were great! Very nice pool–lots to do for guests–we preferred the beach just across the street. Loved the fact that there were beach lounge chairs for our use at no charge! We have paid $15 a day before! Several decent restaurant choices are in walking distance–as well as a pharmacy and a grocery store. And the laundry facilities came in very handy! All in all, our experience at The Driftwood most pleasant–we will definitely be returning!
